Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Metapi website (metapi.io) or API service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, in which case "you" refers to that entity.

Description of Service

Metapi provides a managed API service for accessing publicly available data from the Facebook Ad Library. The Service includes REST API endpoints, webhook integrations, data export capabilities, and related documentation.

Metapi is an independent third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates.

Account Registration & API Keys

To use the Service, you must create an account and obtain API credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and to keep it up to date. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or API keys.

You may not share, transfer, or sell your API keys to third parties. Each API key is tied to a single account and is subject to the usage limits of your plan.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• • Use the Service to harass, stalk, or target individuals based on ad data
• • Redistribute raw API data as a competing data service without written permission
• • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or derive the source code of the Service
• • Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure
• • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights

Rate Limits & Fair Usage

API access is subject to rate limits based on your subscription plan. Rate limits are enforced to ensure fair access for all users and to protect the stability of the Service.

If you exceed your plan's rate limits, API requests may be throttled or temporarily blocked. Persistent or intentional abuse of rate limits may result in account suspension.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of Metapi and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service itself.

Data returned by the API originates from publicly available sources. You retain ownership of any applications, analyses, or products you build using data obtained through the Service.

Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of data obtained through the Service complies with all applicable data protection and privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

Payment & Billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. All fees are quoted in US Dollars and are non-refundable except as required by law.

We reserve the right to modify our pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.

Failure to pay fees when due may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Service.

Service Availability & SLA

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for the API Service. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible.

The Service depends on third-party data sources that may change without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain data availability, but cannot guarantee coverage of specific data or advertisers at all times.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Metapi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, that results obtained through the Service will be accurate or reliable, or that the Service will be available at all times.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Metapi operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
